This iteration of the Leland navy was built for the 1998 season as the Pico American Dream. The boat remained under the Leland team for all of its life, racing through the late 90s through the early 2000s. It had the distinctive Miss Thriftway livery in 2005, but was damaged in a blowover late in its career.

In 1999, Chip Hanauer piloted the boat. They raced the boat in all but two events, when the team entered the #9899 hull. Chip won three races in Lake Havasu, Madison, and Detroit, but the team finished second in national high points.
