Hull #7025

The Pride of Pay'n Pak first debuted in 1970 as a twin-engined cabover hydroplane, powered by twin hemis. The boat and team struggled, and the hull was configured to a traditional hull with a Merlin for the 1971 season. Billy Schumacher drove the boat in 1971, as the team went to all 9 races and collected three straight wins to end the season in Seattle, Eugene, and Dallas. They finished 3rd in national high points.

In 1972, Schumacher and Bill Sterett shared the cockpit. The team finished 2nd in national high points, while winning the President's Cup in Washington DC. After 1972, the Pay'n Pak team built the famed Winged Wonder, and this hull was sold to Bernie Little to race as the Miss Budweiser.
