Hull #7931

The first hull built for owner Bill Bennett, the Nordberg hull debuted in Miami at the first race of the season with unique features. The cathedral-winged boat had a twin, the Squire Shop, which would debut later in the year. The Circus team ran the boat for two years before switching to the canard design. The boat ran as the Spirit of the Air Force in 1982, then was run for two years as part of The Squire Shop team. The boat finished its years under Bob Gilliam's ownership, and is being restored at the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in Kent.

In 1979, Steve Reynolds ran the hull to a second-place finish in national high points. The boat capped off the year with a victory in San Diego at the last race of the season.
